Frequently Asked Questions
Before taking the next step, you'll likely have questions about opening a Fully Promoted business.
Below are straightforward answers to the questions prospective business owners ask us most often, including investment requirements, finance, training, ongoing support and what running the business involves.
Last reviewed: August 2026 by James Archibald, Franchise Development Manager, Business Franchise Group.
A Fully Promoted franchise is a business to business branding company that helps organisations present and promote their brands professionally.
Each location provides four main service areas:
- Branded apparel and uniforms
- Promotional products
- Printing solutions
- Event branding and displays
Franchise owners focus on developing relationships with local businesses, understanding their branding needs and managing a small team that delivers the required products and services.
Yes. EmbroidMe New Zealand became Fully Promoted in 2025.
The new name reflects how the business has expanded beyond embroidery and branded clothing. Fully Promoted locations now offer a wider range of services, including promotional products, printing solutions and event branding.
The established franchise systems, supplier relationships, experience and national support network continue under the Fully Promoted brand.
For a standard Fully Promoted location, the total investment is approximately $250,000 as of 2026. This includes:
- Franchise fee: $49,500
- Production equipment: approximately $173,000
- Fit-out, minor plant and sundries: approximately $27,500 (Location dependent)
You should allow at least $30,000-$50,000 in working capital, bringing the total funding requirement to approximately $300,000.
You do not need to provide the full amount in cash. Equipment leasing and finance may be available to approved applicants, allowing eligible franchisees to get started with a minimum of approximately $150,000 of their own funds.
Fully Promoted also offers a showroom-only model that does not require the same level of production equipment, considerably reducing the initial investment. Costs vary depending on the location and setup, so contact us for current details.
You are purchasing an established business system rather than starting independently.
Your franchise investment includes:
- The right to operate under the Fully Promoted brand
- Comprehensive initial training
- Established operating systems and processes
- Access to approved suppliers and group purchasing arrangements
- Assistance with site selection, lease negotiations and store setup
- Support with budgeting, recruitment and pre-opening marketing
- An operations manual and online knowledge base
- Ongoing operational, marketing and business development support
- Access to the wider Fully Promoted franchise network
The exact inclusions will depend on the business model and location selected.
No previous experience in branded apparel, promotional products, printing or embroidery is required.
Fully Promoted provides comprehensive training covering products, suppliers, sales, marketing, operations, staffing, administration and financial management.
Previous business ownership is also not essential. Experience in sales, customer service, account management, leadership or team management can be particularly valuable.
The strongest candidates are sales focused, comfortable following established systems and motivated to build long-term relationships with local businesses.
Earning potential depends largely on the individual franchisee and how effectively they develop and manage their business.
With multiple revenue streams and the ability to grow your customer base, team and production capacity, the model offers significant potential to scale over time.
Following your enquiry, we will work with you to develop a personalised business planning budget. This will help you understand the expected costs, revenue requirements and potential returns so you can assess whether the opportunity suits your financial goals.
The owner’s primary role is to lead and grow the business.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Meeting prospective and existing customers
- Understanding their branding requirements
- Preparing and following up quotations
- Developing repeat and national account opportunities
- Managing customer relationships
- Leading and supporting employees
- Monitoring quality, deadlines and workflow
- Managing the financial performance of the business
- Building relationships within the local business community
Owners are not generally expected to operate the production equipment. A production team member is employed and trained to manage this area while the owner focuses on business development, customer service and management.
Fully Promoted is primarily a Monday to Friday business because most customers are businesses and organisations.
Support begins before your business opens and continues throughout the life of the franchise.
Before opening, the Fully Promoted support team can assist with:
- Site selection and lease negotiations
- Store planning and fit-out
- Equipment installation
- Budgets and business planning
- Recruitment and staff training
- Showroom samples and consumables
- Pre-opening marketing
- Comprehensive franchisee training
Once you begin trading, you will continue to receive guidance from the Auckland-based support team.
Ongoing support includes an operations manual, online knowledge base, training sessions, regional meetings, industry trade shows, an annual conference and access to experienced franchise owners throughout the network.
Fully Promoted undertakes national marketing to build brand awareness and generate enquiries for the franchise network.
Marketing support includes:
- Website development and management
- Search and AI visibility
- Digital advertising
- Local and national social media marketing
- Email marketing
- Campaign development
- Lead generation
- Marketing resources and advice
Franchisees are also expected to actively market within their local territories by networking, prospecting, developing referral relationships and maintaining regular contact with existing customers.
The strongest results come from combining national brand activity with consistent local business development.
The standard Fully Promoted royalty is 6 percent of gross sales revenue, paid monthly.
Once a location’s sales exceed $800,000 within a financial year, the royalty reduces to 4 percent on revenue above that threshold. This provides an additional incentive for franchisees to continue growing their businesses.
Franchisees also benefit from the network’s collective purchasing power and preferred supplier arrangements, which can provide pricing and buying advantages that may not be available to an independent operator.
All royalties, contributions and ongoing obligations will be fully explained in the franchise documentation before you commit to the business.
